Meet Our Presenters


Doug Bland

Tempe, Arizona, United States

Doug Bland was trained at ThevClimate Project in Nashville in October of 2008 at the Faith Session.  Doug has been the pastor at the Community Christian Center since 1994. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the Storytelling Institute at


Southern Mountain Community College and leads workshops at Intel on how to utilize storytelling in corporate culture.  Bland is an environmentalist, a member of the Sierra Club, and the Chair of the Arizona Ecumenical Council Environmental Committee. 

Prior to receiving his calling to the ministry, Doug attended The College of Idaho on the premed track.  The Community Christian Center received the “Diversity Award” in 2003 and 2009 from the City of Temple Human Relations Commission for promoting interfaith, multi-ethnic storytelling concerts.  He lives with his wife, Amy, in Tempe, Arizona.
