Dave Brauer-Rieke

Milwaukie, Oregon, United States

Dave Brauer-Rieke was trained at The Climate Project in Nashville in October of 2008 at the Faith Session.  Dave was elected the Bishop of Oregon Synod of the Elca. in 2007.  He is also a member of the Oregon Global Warming Commission.

Brauer-Rieke earned his B.A. in economics from Pacific Lutheran University and his M.A. in divinity from Luther Seminary (then Luther Theological Seminary).  In 1987 he was ordained and served as Pastor of Christ The King Lutheran Church and later as Pastor of Atonement Lutheran Church.

He and his wife Gretchen live in Milwaukie, Oregon.  They have 3 children all in their twenties who are now in college or graduate school.
