Meet Our Presenters

Samantha Barghahn

San Francisco, California, United States

After learning more in depth about the harmful consequences of climate change, Samantha Barghahn quit her pursuit of acting to commit her time to climate change. She became involved with EarthTeam.net and started a column for “The Green,” EarthTeam’s newsletter, as well as wrote grants to raise money for global climate change education in underprivileged schools.

Samantha was trained at The Climate Project in Nashville in January of 2007 at Session 3.  She is currently a senior at New York University studying Media and Global Communications.  During her time at NYU, she worked on NBC Universal's attempt to promote ecological awareness throughout the corporation and to the public in the company's new department entitled "Green is Universal." In her free time she is a devoted practitioner of yoga and mind/body wellness.

She is preparing to go to grad school to become an integral psychologist.  Her paramount goal in life is to help the planet by spreading consciousness and helping to transform our lifestyles in a holistic, sustainable way.

Samantha constantly alternates living between San Francisco, California and New York City, New York.
