Bill Brown

Bill Brown was an Earth Scientist with the U.S. Geological Survey for 36 years. He led projects on environmental impacts of human activities in the U.S. and seven other countries. He worked as a research team manager, researcher on global minerals and energy, Budget Analyst in the U.S. Department of the Interior, and researcher on the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Since his retirement in 2003 Bill has worked as a consultant on energy policy and climate change solutions. He works with U.S. Senate and House members, the Town of Taos, and hundreds of private, government ,and non-profit organizations throughout the American West.

I see a world already in the midst of transition to a new energy economy that can sustain our clean energy demands for centuries. A clean energy future is well within our reach and is being realized much faster that most people would have imagined just a few years ago,” Bill says.

This program has been adopted by more than 850 U.S. cities representing nearly 80 million Americans as of August 2008.
