The Climate Project Welcomes China Branch

06/11/10

The Climate Project trained a cross section of 300 Chinese citizens this week to deliver an updated version of former Vice President Al Gore’s slide show. The event was held in Beijing with the support of the Chinese government and in partnership with the China-U.S. Center for Sustainable Development. This training was also the first to incorporate slides and material from Vice President Gore’s latest book, Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis.

With the addition of China, The Climate Project now has nine official branches — Australia, Canada, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Spain, the U.K., the United States and China. All trainees are now official TCP Presenters who, like TCP’s 3,000 other Presenters worldwide, have committed to completing a minimum of ten activities involving the slideshow in their home towns and provinces.
