LOUIS VUITTON TO DONATE 15% OF ALL ON-LINE U.S. SALES ON EARTH DAY

Louis Vuitton North America, Inc. announced today, in honor of Earth Day, that 15% of all sales purchased on the company’s U.S. site, www.louisvuitton.com, on April 22 nd, 2009 will be donated to The Climate Project (www.theclimateproject.org). Louis Vuitton is actively committed to promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable development, and has partnered with The Climate Project since 2007.
Louis Vuitton initiated an association with The Climate Project in 2007 by making a donation to the organization on behalf of the individuals in the Core Values Advertising Campaign. Louis Vuitton has continued the relationship throughout its Core Values campaigns, donating on behalf of Catherine Deneuve, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, Keith Richards, Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola, and Sean Connery.

The Climate Project, founded by Nobel Laureate and former Vice President Al Gore, is an international non-profit organization with a mission of increasing public awareness of the climate crisis at a grassroots level worldwide. TCP is growing exponentially, with headquarters in Nashville, TN and branch offices in Spain, UK, Australia, India, and Canada. More than 500 U.S. and Canadian TCPPresenters will be gathering in Nashville next month for TCP’s North American Summit with Gore and other climate change dignitaries.
